In our presentation, we gave an overview IrisBG’s many capabilities and ease of use, as well as the benefits of being a part of the IrisBG Community. IrisBG allows you to release your collection’s potential for protecting, restoring, and enhancing biodiversity.
IrisBG helps gardens and arboreta achieve reliable record keeping, but we’re also a reliable company. One way that we show our reliability is by establishing and maintaining the robust IrisBG community. Our community of users spans throughout much of Europe and North America. We are also growing our usership throughout Africa, Asia, and Oceania. Today, we serve over 250 institutions which include a diverse range of botanical gardens, arboreta, and private estates worldwide.
Our Coffee Chats serve as an open forum for users to discuss their shared experiences, as well. We all learn and become stronger at what we do with the advantage of community. In fact, the development of new features is most often driven by feedback from our user base. For those who are unable to attend our live sessions, the chats are recorded and uploaded to the Knowledge Library found on our website to be watched at any time. It is also helpful for users who would just like to refresh their memories on topics covered in the meet ups.
The Knowledge Library offers a search option and is truly a robust resource full of tutorials, guides, and FAQ. It also functions as a forum for the community to submit questions for the IrisBG team, as well as other users to help with.
IrisBG provides a way for you to track the fundamental components for the BGCI Botanic Garden Accreditation process. IrisBG supports BGCI’s conservation goals through sharing scientific data in reports, plant material with the Index Seminum, and knowledge with the public in the Garden Explorer modules.
