IrisBG – What's new 2020

2020 has been an eventful year for IrisBG in many aspects. Through this presentation, Øyvind Rustan, the founder and CEO of IrisBG, touched upon some of the novel aspects since the IrisBG user Conference in Gothenburg 2019.

On using IrisBG

• IrisBG 4 - with demo of Task Scheduler
  First released back in 2018 and numerous features has since been added. The full version history can always be found at our Software-page. In the demo of the Task Scheduler we showed you how you can schedule repetitive tasks as reports or uploading data to your Web Explorer.
• 3rd party data exchange
  It is important for us that you should be able to use and get benefits from you data. What better motivation to keep good records! All the reports play a key role and we pay much attention to improve their functionality and usability. In order to facilitate this there is a closed API that can be requested by 3rd parties. When then a solution is quality assured, we will authorize it and can give it access in your IrisBG license.
• New websites 
  ....At least new since the last conference in 2019. We understand that you have better things to do than to frequent our website, but the menu called "Resources" is created for you to get support, access the Knowledge Library, download the newest version of IrisBG etc.
• IrisBG Knowledge Library
  This can be accessed via links on the Support- and the Tutorial pages. Some articles are visible to all, but most of the articles require that you sign in. When you sign in you can follow topics of interest and get an notification when something new is posted. Try following the topic Latest version of IrisBG.

Also announced at the conference

• IrisBG Lite - update records on site
  A device independent and browser based lite version of IrisBG is under development. This will not be a replacement for the desktop version, but an addition to make it possible to update records on site. As an integrated part of IrisBG we avoid synchronization hassle.
• Quarterly newsletter with version feature highlights
  We have gotten feedback from many that they would like information about our new versions. You can follow the topic Latest version of IrisBG in the Knowledge Library and read the version history, but we will also present some key features in a quarterly summary. We will use Mailchimp to send these out. If you want these updates, but for some reason cannot receive Mailchimp newsletter, please get in touch and we will set up an alternative for you. 
• Monthly coffeehouse meetings
  Starting in January 2021 we will host an informal video meeting for the community to meet, ask questions and share thoughts and ideas with us and each other. 
• Book us for a free video session
  Need a walk-through of some of IrisBG's functionality or some other advice? It will now be possible to book us for a free video session. If you are interested send Mari an e-mail with topic/questions and reserve a session today. Availability is limited.
