It's not just a matter of data security but also the integrity of your plant collections that's at stake. Protecting this data is not just important; it's critical.

If you are self-hosting your IrisBG database, we strongly recommend the following steps:  

• Configure regular backups in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).  Free download
  • Here are some examples of how to configure backups 
• Run a test to ensure that the backups will restore your data.
• Store your backups in a different location, unconnected to your local server.
